Reaction time

Our team will analyse your questions and comments and respond within 48 hours. If a complete answer cannot be given within this time limit, we will acknowledge receipt of your question and respond as soon as possible.

Our rates

The prices of our guided tours are given on request. For tailor-made programs, prices depend on the tour and accommodation, the number of participants, the season and availability. When the price is communicated, it remains valid for 30 days. Our prices do not include flight tickets and visas. Our services only start upon your arrival in Goma, Kigali or Bujumbura, depending on your choice.

Booking confirmation

As soon as you have confirmed your program, Kivu Travel will send you a reservation confirmation document by e-mail. It will contain all the details of your trip, including payment terms and bank references. Make sure everything is in accordance with your request. Your questions and comments are welcome. Three working days after this mailing we will consider the confirmation as accepted and the booking as confirmed.

General terms and conditions

We invite you to read it carefully. They will be attached to the invoice sent to you, but you can also consult them on this page and download them from our site.

Flights

You are free to book your own flights. However, do not hesitate to contact us if you need any help in booking your flights. Flight tickets must be paid separately to the agency we put you in touch with.

Payment

The prices are fixed and final, unless there is a clear material error. The down payment is 50% of the total amount. The balance must be paid one month before the start of the tour. If the reservation is made less than one month before the start of the tour, the total price is due immediately.

Cancellation

The following cancellation fees apply:

• more than 60 days before the start of the tour: 180 € booking fee + the cost of booking activities in Virunga and Kahusi Biega parks ($400, gorillas, $300 volcano, $100 chimpanzees)
• between 60 days and 21 days before the start of the tour: 50% of the price + the cost of the gorilla visit,
• 21 days or less before the start of the tour: 100% of the price.
• Once issued, ICCN DRC visas are non-refundable and will be deducted in any case.
