Route description

Pick up in Kigali and transfer to Goma - Standard or Comfort accommodation. (D)

Transfer Kigali-Goma. Lunch and transfer to Virunga Park. Overnight stay at the Kibumba Tented Camp. (B,L,D)

Mountain Gorillas Trek - Overnight stay at the Kibumba Tented Camp. (B,L,D)

Pick up in Kibumba and transfer to Kibati for the volcano climb. Logistics and meals provided by our team. Sleeping bag included. 2 litres of water per person. Accommodation at the summit is in chalets (2 persons per chalet). Summit at 3,470 metres. (B,L,D)

Descent of the volcano and transfer to Tchegera Island to rest. Stay on the island.

Transfer to Idjwi island for a guided tour by motorbike taxi. Stay in a guesthouse on the island.

Transfer from Idjwi to Bukavu. Visit to the primate rehabilitation centre and the Lwiro library - Standard or Comfort accommodation. (B,L,D)

Trek to the lowland gorillas and transfer to Rwanda. Standard or Comfort accommodation. (B,L,D)
